![]() I've met many people who started their own business, whether part-time or full, and when they find out that I'm in marketing, they'll often ask me for some advice to help market their products or service. Of course, the first thing I always ask them is, do you have a website? More times than not, they reply, "no, but I have a Facebook page." Hmmm, that's great that you have a Facebook page, but that's not exactly going to cut it when you're marketing yourself. It's always good to be where the people are, and there are many people on Facebook. However, social media is only a tiny part of your overall marketing strategy. I’ve already written a blog article about the “Six Reasons You or Your Business Needs a Good Website” so I’m not going to go into depth about having a good website. However, I would like to provide a short list of reasons why you shouldn’t have a Facebook page in place of a business website.
It's important to have a Facebook page, but don't rely on it to handle your marketing. If you're serious about your business and want it to succeed, please do yourself a favor and invest in a website. If you need help or have any questions please email or text me. I would be more than happy to point you in the right direction. ![]() FREE EBOOK This twenty chapter e-book includes research and planning, and a breakdown of content, digital, and events marketing strategies.
