Genre: Cinematic Synthwave
In this project, I’m experimenting with orchestral elements by combining synthwave with modern cinematic styles. Many of the pieces represent a scene that follows the hero’s journey in a science fiction environment. The individual songs use either an extremely simple or complex Hollywood chord structure, depending on the emotion I’m trying to communicate. I’m utilizing a great deal of virtual instruments to create a particular atmosphere depending on the mood. For example, big bombastic drums and horns for a triumphant sound, strings and synth pads for a melancholic feel. I'm also experimenting with new mixing and mastering tools.
